This is a boot I advocated for the last couple of years at La Sportiva NA. Seemed obvious to me.

Cancelar respuestaG2 enhances the La Sportiva high mountain boot line from the 8000m Olympus and 4000m Batura. The G2 is intended for mountaineering at 6000 and 7000 metres.
I don't think I could trust the boa closer......I've had a couple fail on me while snowboarding. Convienyent as hell when in bounds but I wouldnt trust my life to something that complex. It's the same reason I use CCW packs (at your recommendation btw) rather than what everyone else uses ie cilogear, black diamond, or even arcteryx......the more seems, or in this case moving parts the more points for failure. Awesome design minus the boa, about time someone put out a light weight, climb able triple boot.
I just ordered myself a pair of G2's today and should have my grubby little paws on them before the end of the month.
We are planning on climbing Denali next year and I wanted to get these instead of purchasing Spantiks.
I was a bit turned off by the boa at first glance. I just remember them being put on mid priced rear entry ski boots and mass marketed snowboard boots.
I hope to not have issues with the system. I am also hoping la sportiva has had enough athletes on them this last year to prove them reliable.
I guess I will see this winter how they perform and hold up.

Point taken Nate. I am hoping it is better than it sounds and better than my experience with the Boa as well :-)
So when can we try them on? Mount Washington Valley Ice Fest 2016 pretty please?
