Opps! Free gear for April?

I've been out climbing and forgot about the April give away. Ya gotta be a member to win.  A Blue Ice chalk bag, a Boa leash and one other piece of fun climber's kit will be given away.  Three chances to win!

OK then!

The free gear?

The Blue Ice chalk bag?  One of the very few in North America I suspect!
It goes to: Melissa Harms

The Blue Ice Boa Leash?
It goes to: Gordon Green

And an amazing assortment of MOJO Cliff bars goes to : Kelly

Send me an email..one way or another and I'll get your prise mailed out to you.  Till then there is always the next drawing.

Not really a post that's ontopic but I really wanted to know how you fitted the BD heel piece to a Petzl crampon (like in the pic on the top of the page).

Easy. I talk about in several of the previous crampon fitting blog posts. But both BD and Petzl heel pieces click on and off easily. Holes are just big enough to make them interchangable. I find the BD heel pieces much easier to use and for me, more secure. You can buy the entire set up from BD customer service for a few bucks, Well worth it imo.

Man, I'm such an idiot. If I had taken a closer look I would have noticed that the 4 point heel piece is still Petzl but with ABS. I already have my Dartwins tuned like you do but the also orange plastic made confused me, I don't have that. Thanks anyway.

No worries, just Sarken bot heel pieces screwed on. Seems to make a big difference when the snow is bad..been too lazy at this point cut something for the fronts.
