In your unending quest for the perfect alpine pack I was wondering if you ever thought about buying Mchale custom backpack? I figure if anyone could build what you want it would be him.
McHale, Cilo? It doesn't take a lot to make a good alpine pack, not a lot of money any way. CCW has been doing it for a long time. As has Rivendell. Patagonia should be doing it soon. But a good alpine pack takes good design work and good materials. Not a lot of hype.
Helps to actually climb to make that happen. Not hiking or sheep farming but actual climbing like Bouchard, Titoune and Randy Radcliff have done in the past.

Hi Dane,
Love your blog. Any chance you might have available the 26l Warthog again?
Please kindly let me know.
Many thanks,
Traian
I won't be importing then.
Is it the exchange rate, shipping etc, or you have new favorite climbing pack?
In your pictures from summer OR 2013, you love the newest Arteryx climbing pack...
Tkx,
Traian
Import duties. Lots of good packs available. I have used custom CCW packs for a decade or so now the majority of time.
I hear you. Thank you Dane,
Traian
