In vertical ice he said they had a tendency to hit with the top of the pick rather than the tip. He hadn't had enough time on them to really try out different swings though. They are ridiculously light and expensive though!Jon Millerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13539595852912401055noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6940163880772720830.post-47451356873057623052012-01-31T14:12:05.059-08:002012-01-31T14:12:05.059-08:00Too rich for my blood. Picks look similar in thickness to the picks on the quantum tech, which I have climbed on a little. They seemed to displace a lot of ice compared to the tools that I normally climb on (Cassin x-all mountains). I bet they'd be great drytooling though.Gear:30https://www.blogger.com/profile/18125730756250323507noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6940163880772720830.post-85861908327928617502012-01-31T01:39:28.509-08:002012-01-31T01:39:28.509-08:00I'm a Grivel fan from the eightys, but...anybo...I'm a Grivel fan from the eightys, but...anybody knows at CT that "Reparto Corse" axes are, actually, Mauro Bole designed axes (see climbubu.com)?luirrihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09493341099323912337noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6940163880772720830.post-72129450844046978342012-01-30T23:25:48.624-08:002012-01-30T23:25:48.624-08:00The new "force" ice tools look very simi...The new "force" ice tools look very similar to the Ciesse Saldature or "climbubu" ice tools.
