I'm a long-time skier and was completely mystified. I thought my technique had gone to hell, and then I looked down as I was taking another tumble and saw that the edge of my ski was caught in the notch.

I'll try your suggestion. I'm thinking that the notch itself might continue to be a problem, but I try rounding everything off as you have described and give it go.

I see you posted this a year ago. Has this solved the problem for you?Ron Wattersnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6940163880772720830.post-14733605541107053762014-05-18T23:04:55.520-07:002014-05-18T23:04:55.520-07:00And I thought it was just my usual lame skiing tha...And I thought it was just my usual lame skiing that was causing this. Nice pick up, Obe Wan.

I wouldn't sweat taking off so little material. I've cut skimo slots in the tips of Trab, Sportiva, DPS, Goode and Atomic ski with absolutely NO issues. I'm sure it voids the warranty but there's so much resin in these things that things hold together just fine. I usually add a little epoxy to the "open wound" just for kicks. Looks nice, too.brian p. harderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03223537483494451530noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6940163880772720830.post-6992757949757763342014-05-18T18:33:39.848-07:002014-05-18T18:33:39.848-07:00Funny you post about this.
